States like Louisiana have implemented the new legislation at a slower pace (as is customary in the south). On June 6 of 2019, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards signed the legislation into law and is actively regulating the product. The state has specific packaging requirements according to Louisiana’s Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Law. Additionally, retailers within the state must obtain a permit from the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control prior to selling CBD oil. Initially, the state will only issue twenty such permits statewide.
Nichole Moore, owner of The Natural Path in Youngsville, Louisiana is one of the lucky recipients among this first crop of permitted retailers. “When we were looking for a CBD company, we tried tons of different kinds. Finally, when we found this, we knew instantly that NuLeaf was the one. We used it on ourselves and our pets, and we loved how it didn’t take a lot to get great results. We knew we wanted to choose a company that believed in full spectrum CBD and full plant, with no added colors, flavors or adulteration of the product in any way.” Nichole is thrilled to be permitted to offer the NuLeaf Naturals brand in her store, located near Lafayette.
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is naturally derived from the cannabis plant, but unlike marijuana, CBD oil is non-intoxicating, and legal in every U.S. state. CBD oil works in conjunction with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) to maintain balance within the body, benefitting a broad range of internal systems and physical wellness. The ECS is responsible for widespread functions such as temperature control, sleep, mood, stress, the reproductive system, pain, rewards/pleasure, and more.
Currently, the implementation of the state legislature in the state known as Sportsman’s Paradise is being slowly rolled out. Those who have obtained permits must also receive the green light from state officials regarding specific packaging of the brands they wish to carry.
Nichole Moore commented, “We don’t mind waiting because NuLeaf Naturals CBD oil is worth it. We are currently following the state’s instructions to the letter and we are excited to share NuLeaf with all our customers. Trust me, it’s well worth the wait.” In the meantime, NuLeaf Naturals can ship directly to you, so there’s no need to wait to get CBD oil in Louisiana. Click here to shop online.
CBD oil is federally legally so long as it contains less than 0.3% THC, as mandated by the 2018 Farm Bill. It may not be legal at a state, county, or local level. Check your local laws and regulations before buying CBD oil.
